On February 17, 1980, the “Tri-City Times” was purchased by Martin N. Heim and Delores Z. Heim.
Thomas A. Sadler and Nola J. Sadler sold the “Tri-City Times” to Martin N. Heim and Delores Z. Heim on February 17, 1980.
Martina and Delores became the new publishers, Karl B. Bayer was managing editor and Leslie Hinchey was advertising director. At this time, long-time columnist, Edith Waltz, who had been writing for the paper for 27 years, retired to have cataract surgery.
With Marty’s death on April 24, 1984, Delores became publisher, son-in-law Randy Jorgensen was General Manager, daughter, Kim Jorgensen was Advertising Director, Pam Brannon was Managing Editor, and Linda Weldon was Production Manager.
