As a single man he came to Macomb County in the 1820’s..  The he married Emeline Ann Dudley on October 17, 1830 in Washington, Macomb County.  They had one daughter, Emmeline in 1831.  His first wife also died that year, probably in child birth.

He then married Eliza Ann Parker and had nine children – six boys and three girls.  It appears he moved around Lapeer county and northern Macomb County for the remainder of his life.
